Foam glass fused with glass billets, stacked and balanced
12 cm W x 11 cm H x 12 cm D
Made from cast glass and foam glass, this work combines smooth, translucent surfaces with porous, volcanic textures that suggest erosion, geological time, and shifting landscapes. The stacked forms reference markers found in nature — temporary structures built to orient, guide, or simply acknowledge presence within a landscape.
The unpredictability of foam glass plays an important role in the making process. Each firing produces subtle variations in texture, density, and surface, allowing the material itself to participate in the final form.
