Winter Scene

Sheet glass, hand pulled vitrigraph stringers, glass powder and frit, sad iron

15 cm H x 10 cm W x 13 cm D

Multiple layers of glass, each with part of a winter scene on it, were fused together to form this 3D winter scene. The resulting glass piece was fixed to a vintage sad iron. ‘Sad’ is an old English word for ‘solid’. This is indeed a solid piece.
