Seafoam

Foam glass fused with layers of sheet glass on powder coated steel stand

48 cm W x 67 cm H x 15 cm D

Seafoam explores the meeting point between structure and fluidity, where solid form gives way to movement and light.

A base of foam glass anchors the work with a porous, organic texture, evoking the density of sand or sea-worn rock. Above, layered sheet glass in soft aqua tones creates a sense of depth, with fine linear inclusions suggesting drifting currents or submerged growth.

Bubbles formed between the layers introduce a quiet sense of motion, reminiscent of foam and suspended air beneath the surface. The work is held within a steel support, providing a counterpoint of precision and balance to the shifting qualities of the glass.
